Experience the Silver City: A Day Trip to Taxco
Join us for an unforgettable excursion to Taxco, a stunningly beautiful “Pueblo Mágico” (Magical Town) nestled in the hills of Guerrero. Just a short trip from Cuernavaca, Taxco is world-renowned for its intricate silverwork, colonial architecture, and cobblestone streets that wind up and down its steep hills.
Our day trip will take you through the heart of this historic city. We’ll visit the magnificent Santa Prisca Church, a breathtaking example of Mexican Baroque architecture. You’ll have the chance to explore the vibrant local market, where you can find everything from fresh produce to traditional crafts. Of course, no visit to Taxco is complete without exploring the countless silver shops (platerías) that line the streets. You’ll also get to enjoy a panoramic view of the city from the Guadalupe Church lookout and see the magic behind the craft at a local silver workshop.
To make your trip as comfortable as possible, we recommend you bring the following: comfortable walking shoes, a hat or cap, sunscreen, a light raincoat or umbrella (just in case!), and water.
