Today, March 8th, the world pauses to observe International Women’s Day. At Ideal Spanish Mexico, we join this global commemoration not just as a date on the calendar, but as a moment of profound reflection and solidarity.
Inspired by the Past, Driven by the Present
We find our inspiration in the generations of women who have pushed the boundaries of history, demanding a world that is more just and equitable. Their persistence changed the course of humanity.
Today, we look with deep admiration at those who are currently making history. With courage and an unwavering spirit, women across the globe—and specifically across Mexico—are fighting for their fundamental rights. Their bravery in the face of adversity is a testament to the power of the human spirit.

The Mexican Context: Progress and Paradox
In Mexico, this day carries a unique weight. It is a time to acknowledge the significant milestones we have reached: we are living in an era with a woman president and many leadership positions held by women across various sectors.
However, we must also speak the truth with clarity: the struggle is far from over.
Mexico remains a country where gender-based violence continues to manifest in devastating ways. Despite political representation, deep-seated inequity and injustice sadly persist. For many women in our country, the right to a life free of violence is still a goal they must fight for every single day.
The Many Facets of the Struggle
The “lucha” (struggle) is not a single path; it has many faces.

Our Commitment
Today, our heart is with the women who strive for a better world. We offer our full support and recognition to those who resist, those who speak out, and those who lead.
To all the women who fight and achieve: we stand with you.
Note to the reader: Understanding “La Lucha” is essential to understanding modern Mexican culture. We invite you to listen, learn, and join the conversation with respect and empathy.
