A Foundation of Leadership

Founded in 1995, AIPEC is the cornerstone of the Spanish language teaching sector in our city. As founding partners, IDEAL has played a pivotal role in the association’s history, having held the presidency three times. Today, we continue this tradition of service and leadership by actively participating in the current Vice Presidency.

We believe that by working alongside our colleagues, we create a stronger team capable of elevating the standard of Spanish immersion for everyone.

What Does AIPEC Do for Our Students?

AIEPC is more than just a professional network; it is a dynamic organization dedicated to five core objectives that directly benefit our international community:

• A Unified Voice: The association defends the interests of Spanish schools, serving as a powerful advocate for our sector and addressing the unique challenges faced by language institutions.
• Collaborative Cultural Experiences: We join forces to improve student life. From joint cultural events to city-wide community service projects like local cleaning campaigns, AIPEC fosters a sense of belonging. A highlight of this collaboration was in 2021, when IDEAL led the photography exhibition “60 Years of Spanish Schools in Cuernavaca” at the Museo de la Ciudad.
• Academic Excellence: Quality is at the heart of what we do. AIPEC organizes specialized training for our teachers, often in partnership with prestigious institutions like CEPE-UNAM or by hosting visiting academics from around the globe.
• Promoting the City of Eternal Spring: Our motto is: “Cuernavaca, the World Center for Spanish Language Teaching.” Through government grants, AIEPC represents our city at major international forums, such as the ACTFL conventions in the United States, ensuring Cuernavaca remains a premier destination for learners.
• Safety and Security: We maintain a permanent “direct line” with local, state, and federal authorities. This partnership ensures a secure environment for all students, allowing us to proactively manage and resolve any safety concerns that may arise.

Beyond the Classroom: Building Community

Our commitment to the region extends into the local business sector as well. IDEAL has been an active participant in the National Chamber of Commerce, Services, and Tourism (CANACO Cuernavaca Chapter), serving as board advisors. This allows us to foster relationships with local businesses, creating a wider, more supportive community for our students to explore.
