Hi everyone, I’m Carlos Brito, Assistant Director of IDEAL Spanish Mexico. This week, I’ll be sharing information about the many attractions of Oaxaca. Many people know us for our school in Cuernavaca, but don’t forget that IDEAL Spanish Mexico also has a fantastic campus in Oaxaca!

Our Spanish courses in Oaxaca are just like the ones in Cuernavaca: small groups of no more than 5 students, flexible class schedules (from 3 to 6 hours per day), and the option to start any Monday. We also offer many activities to help you explore the city and practice your skills.

Enjoy the Food and Drink. It’s no surprise if you finish your trip to Oaxaca a few pounds heavier! The food and drinks here are simply delicious. Traditional moles, flavorful tlayudas, locally flavored ice creams, and, of course, the famous chocolate will be highlights of your culinary journey. For drinks, you can try horchata with its fruits and nuts, the ancient beverage tejate (made from corn and cacao), and, naturally, the famous mezcal. In Oaxaca, you’ll become a true “mezcalier,” tasting the many different types of mezcal at local distilleries, often called palenques.
