Guess what, everyone? Last night was an absolute blast!

Here at Ideal Spanish Mexico, we’re always looking for fun things to do and experience in our vibrant cities, and last night in Cuernavaca, the city delivered big time! We headed over to the Plaza de Armas and caught an incredible performance by the group “Bella Cumbia.”

The energy was infectious! If you know Cumbia, you know it’s impossible to stand still. And let’s be honest, as “good Mexicans,” as we say, “el cuerpo manda” (the body commands/takes over)! Few people can resist a great Cumbia rhythm without getting up to dance, it’s just in our blood! The show was lively, joyful, and completely took over the main square.

This fantastic event was part of the International Cervantino Festival (FIC), which is one of the most important cultural festivals in Latin America. While the main festival takes place in the beautiful city of Guanajuato, it’s amazing that they bring performances and events to several other cities across Mexico, including right here in Cuernavaca!

Keep your eyes open, because we hear there will be more Cervantino events coming to Cuernavaca!
