Last night in Cuernavaca was a quintessential summer evening, reminding us all why we love this city. The night began with a gentle, much-needed drizzle, the kind of light rain that cools the air and washes the dust from the streets, making everything feel fresh. It was the perfect atmosphere to enjoy a slow stroll or a quiet conversation.
As the evening went on, the rain picked up, turning into a more intense downpour. But even a heavy rain couldn’t dampen the spirit of the city. We saw people gathered in the zócalo (the main plaza), enjoying the vibrant energy. The plaza was full of life: friends catching up over conversation, people grabbing a delicious juice, and families sharing a tasty elote (grilled corn on the cob) from a street vendor.
There’s something truly special about a good summer rain here. It’s a moment to slow down and appreciate the simple things: the company of good friends, the taste of delicious street food, and the cozy, lively feeling of the city.
