A Message from the Direction: Safety and Commitment to Our Student Community
Dear IDEAL Community:
On behalf of the Brito family and the entire team at IDEAL Spanish Mexico, we would like to share a few words regarding the recent and regrettable events in the Teotihuacán area. We are deeply saddened by what has occurred and extend our prayers and solidarity to all those affected.
We understand that by choosing IDEAL, you are looking for more than just academic excellence; you are looking for a safe home in Mexico. With over 50 years of experience welcoming students from around the world, our highest priority remains the same: your overall well-being.
We want to assure you that our activities in Cuernavaca and our cultural programs (including our upcoming routes in Oaxaca) operate under a framework of preventive and personalized security:
Direct Accompaniment: At IDEAL, our students are not alone during their commutes or excursions, organized by IDEAL. Every outing is personally coordinated and supervised by our bilingual team, using private transportation of absolute trust.
Local Knowledge: We live and work in the communities where we teach. This local expertise allows us to carefully select the safest schedules, routes, and visiting sites, always avoiding high-risk areas or unverified mass-concentration events.
Family Support Network: Our host families are an extension of our own. They are trained to provide an additional layer of protection and constant local guidance to students from the moment they arrive home.
Mexico is a country of immense cultural wealth, and at IDEAL, we believe the best way to experience it is through responsible and supervised immersion. We continue to monitor the national situation daily to ensure that your only concern is learning the language and experiencing the culture.
