50 Years of Stories, Community, and a Passion for Spanish

As 2025 draws to a close, we want to take a moment to send you our warmest greetings and express our deepest gratitude for being a part of our history. Thank you for choosing IDEAL as your language center, for entrusting us with the education of your groups and institutional members, for opening your homes as host families, or simply for staying close to us and nurturing this vibrant and welcoming community.

Recent years have presented us with significant challenges; however, at IDEAL, we remain steadfast and enthusiastic in our mission: teaching Spanish and sharing the richness of Mexican culture, both in Cuernavaca and Oaxaca.

This is a shared achievement. We recognize the dedication of our teachers, who masterfully practice the craft of teaching every day; the commitment of our host families, who provide human warmth to our guests; the trust of those who send us their students; the dedication of group leaders; and the tireless effort of our staff. But above all, we thank the students who choose to immerse themselves in our culture, opening their minds to understand Mexico through our language.

This year, 2025, has been especially meaningful: we are celebrating our 50th anniversary. Our director, Hermilo, celebrates 64 years in the teaching profession, contributing invaluable experience that continues to strengthen our Spanish program. These five decades have taught us that every student is a life lesson. In this exchange of words and experiences, we enter their world and they enter ours—a collection of stories for which we are infinitely grateful.

In an increasingly complex global context, we believe now more than ever in the value of intercultural understanding. We are convinced that getting to know and recognizing each other as human beings is the path to building a more empathetic world.

We welcome 2026 with joy and enthusiasm. You are always welcome at IDEAL; this is, and always will be, your home.
