Our photo this week takes us to the Plaza de la Cruz de Piedra, one of those truly iconic, soul-stirring spots right in the heart of Oaxaca’s historic center.

Now, if you’ve been to Oaxaca, you know that “any given night” often means “a night where something wonderful is happening.” This particular evening was no exception. One minute, our team was just strolling past, maybe grabbing a late-night tlayuda (don’t judge!), and the next, the plaza had transformed!

What did we see? A vibrant, impromptu celebration! 🎉

It wasn’t a national holiday or a major festival—it was just Oaxaca being Oaxaca. Maybe it was a local dance troupe practicing, a family celebrating a birthday, or perhaps just the sheer energy of the street musicians finally hitting that perfect groove. That’s the magic of this city: the party is always ready to start.
